The 2021 Winter Edition

We started the year with hope, but we are finishing it still struggling. There are reasons to continue to hope… The Grange continues to host events such as the Pancake breakfasts (be sure to go to the last one of the year, next week), the Mountain Dew Boys Concert, and the Christmas Party. The Home Ec Club is also meeting, still has the raffle quilt, and continues to sew the Chemo Caps for the local hospital. They are also offering their coveted Cookbook to those who are interested (see their article for more information). The Church has been meeting for services but continues to offer online sermons. They are also supporting the Mead food bank. The Growers are opening for the Holiday season. You can find the list of Growers that will be open to help you make those holiday memories. Finally, the Jr Grangers had a wonderful turnout for their Halloween Drive-Thru. Information to join in the Jr Grange Fun is in the Gazette.

We don’t have a Community Corner Article, but we do have a special addition. Helen Laws was a beloved Green Bluff Resident. Her presence is still felt with the memories she leaves behind. We added one of her recipes for you to try this Christmas.

A Mihalasky Update. We were unable to get back home because of flight cancellations. We missed seeing all our friends and family. We did take a trip to Prague, where we visited castles (Kids loved the extensive armory), churches, and Museums. We dined in a Medieval tavern where we were entertained by dancers, singers, jugglers, and more. We even went to the oldest bar in town to see a Nirvana Cover Band. We were able to enjoy the Vienna Christmas Markets before another lockdown starts on Monday.
